Our Area

Bonnievale is the beginning or the far side of the Robertson Wine Valley. It all depends on your point of view - and whether you're coming from town or the interior. Bypassed by Route 62 on the main Robertson-to-Montagu road, the dozen or so wineries are often missed by tourists speeding on their way between Cape Town and Oudtshoorn or George. They don't know what they're missing on the less travelled road.

Wine tourism is a new crop. This offers visitors the fulfillment of a total experience of vineyards, wines, cheese, water and mountains, underscored by hospitality typical of the good old days.

Forming an integral and active part of the acclaimed Robertson Wine Route and adjacent to the popular and scenic Route 62 Bonnievale, aptly nicknamed The Valley of Cheese and Wine, is an easily accessible, family friendly destination for anyone and everyone wanting a break from the confines of the city. With an abundance of accommodation ranging from luxury to camping, a plethora of recommended dining options and a host of activities on offer you’ll be spoilt for choice. Welcome to Bonnievale - the Beautiful Valley.
